Qimmah Hameed is a passionate advocate who has dedicated her life to serving the community. She currently serves as the Vice President of Community Engagement at Bay Area Community Services (BACS), and previously served as the Director of Community Organizing and Engagement. She has successfully overseen numerous programs, including housing, behavioral health, and medical respite programs, which have provided essential support and services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Through her dedicated efforts, she has been fortunate to impact the lives of over 5,000 community members across seven counties in Northern California. What sets Qimmah apart is her unique perspective shaped by her own lived experiences and her unwavering commitment to restructuring systems that perpetuate cycles of poverty and inequities among underrepresented communities. A proud Oakland native, Qimmah holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Auburn University. She is a member of the United Nations and Rotary International and CEO of her own consulting firm.
