Meet Elsie Lee: Case Manager, Changemaker, Community Builder

During the month of May, the Women’s Resource Center hosted Women’s Day: A Day of Pampering—a celebration of joy, connection, and well-deserved self-care. Guests enjoyed facials, manicures, crafts, and delicious food in a warm, welcoming environment designed to nourish both body and spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team who made this day possible—and a special spotlight on one of the shining stars behind it all: Elsie Lee.

“The best part of my job is watching the women I work with grow like butterflies, into their best possible selves.” – Elsie Lee

More than a Case Manager, Elsie is a source of strength, compassion, and light within our community. She joined Community Forward SF in July 2024, drawn by our core value of Love and a deep-rooted commitment to serve the community she comes from. And we are endlessly grateful to have her on our team.

Elsie’s impact reaches far beyond our walls. She serves on the Alameda County Continuum of Care Board, the Emeryville Unified School District Board, and is the founder of Sistas with Voices, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of mass incarceration for youth ages 8–18.

When she’s not championing justice and healing, you might find her cooking, crafting, or diving into a true crime show.

Thank you, for everything you do. We see you. We appreciate you. We are inspired by you.
